Jesuit Dallas Associate Director of College Counseling
Jesuit Dallas is seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator to serve our students as the Associate Director of College Counseling in a faith-based, mission-centered environment.  In collaboration with the Director of College Counseling, this role will guide students, parents, and faculty through the competitive college admissions process.  Ideal candidates will exhibit a passion for working with adolescent males and their families, life-long learning, and collaborating with peers in the pursuit of the school's mission.  The Associate Director of College Counseling reports to the Director of College Counseling.

Responsibilities include the following:
  • Form and educate young men to be open to growth, intellectually competent, loving, religious, committed to working for justice, and physically fit.
  • Collaborate with the Guidance Counseling Department to implement a comprehensive four-year college admissions curriculum.
  • Build and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, and professional organizations to ensure an informed college admissions curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the faculty to assist in the college admissions process.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to our families in navigating the college application, financial aid, and scholarship process.
  • Meet with individual students and families to support the application process and write recommendation letters.
  • Support the administration of standardized test preparation and coordination of test administration, including the PSAT and AP exams.
  • Serve as the on-site coordinator for dual credit programs, including 1818 through Saint Louis University.
  • Participate in all departmental and school-wide faculty formation.
  • Engage in on-going professional development.
  • Participate in student-centered co-curricular, extra-curricular, service and retreat opportunities.
Qualifications
  • At least three years experience working with college admissions in a secondary or postsecondary setting preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree from an accredited university preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Works in a fast-paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a diverse array of contacts.
  • May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
