Jesuit Dallas is seeking a qualified and passionate athletic trainer who is dedicated to carrying out the mission of Jesuit Dallas.  This position reports to the Athletic Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide injury prevention services, preliminary evaluation, and referral services to appropriate medical professionals; 
• Apply knowledge of physical therapy methods properly during the treatment of student injuries;
• Assist coaches and athletic staff with the setup and maintenance of hydration and other athletic equipment during practices and competitions;
• Maintain timely records of injuries and treatment  in Magnus, the student health services;
• Communicate with coaches, athletes, parents, the school nurse, and medical professionals regarding athletes' injuries to ensure alignment on treatment, recovery, and return to play;
• Ensure compliance with the UIL and Jesuit Dallas concussion protocols;
• Provide emergency medical care as necessary;
• Demonstrate commitment to Jesuit Dallas' mission and the formation of well-rounded student athletes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Athletic Training or related field, advanced degree preferred;
• Current Athletic Trainer in Texas License (LAT);
• Current BOC certification with the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends;
• Ability to work in highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadline, and a diverse array of contacts;
• May work at a desk or computer for an extended period of time; 
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
