Jesuit Dallas Spanish Teacher

Jesuit Dallas is seeking a qualified and innovative educator to teach high school Spanish in a Catholic, all-male setting.  Successful candidates will possess a passion for forming adolescents, engaging in life-long learning, and collaborating with peers in the pursuit of the school's mission. This teacher will be expected to:
  • Teach five sections of Spanish;
  • Serve as a contributing member of the Language Department;
  • Work collaboratively with course level teams on lesson planning, assessment design, and grading;
  • Participate in all departmental and school-wide faculty formation;
  • Participate in student-centered co-curricular, extra-curricular, service, and/or retreat opportunities;
  • Form and educate young men to be open to growth, intellectually competent, loving, religious, committed to working for justice and physically fit.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Spanish or a related field;
  • Advanced degree preferred;
  • Teaching expereience preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Works in highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a diverse array of contacts;
  • Instructs students who are learning both in person and online;
  • May work at a desk and computer for an extended period of time;
  • Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
