Description
The Stewardship Coordinator at Jesuit Dallas is responsible for implementing and expanding a comprehensive stewardship program that appropriately and consistently promotes the recognition of the Institution's donors. Reporting to the Director of Development, the ideal candidate is self-motivated with a proven track record of successful relationship building. The Stewardship Coordinator will also be tasked with prospect management, with the opportunity to grow as a front-line fundraiser.
Essential Functions
- Work with the Vice President of Advancement and Director of Development in maintaining a comprehensive stewardship program that recognizes the generosity of our donors and encourages continued support of the Jesuit mission.
- Collaborate with Finance and the Jesuit Dallas Foundation to match endowment funds with student and faculty recipients.
- Work directly with students and faculty members on thank you letters and videos to be sent to community members.
- Generate creative new ideas on how to steward donors of all sizes.
- Collaborate with members of the advancement staff during fundraising/community events, gift recognition, reporting, etc., and all activities that support the operational needs of the Advancement Office.
- Perform prospect research to identify potential new major gift donors.
- Serve on one to two assigned committees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required with one or more years experience in a fundraising or sales environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven success building and maintaining trusted relationships with key stakeholders and the ability to interact with multiple constituencies.
- Ability to communicate the philosophy and mission of the School as part of the cultivation process.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Minimal travel and occasional night and weekend work may be required.
- Works in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
- May alternatively work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time while also spending a lot of hours walking and/or standing.
- Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
