OVERVIEW

Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas (Jesuit Dallas) is a private, college-preparatory school for young men under the direction of the Society of Jesus. Located on a 34-acre campus in North Dallas, the School provides a rigorous student-centered education to approximately 1,100 students in grades 9-12. Supported by a deeply engaged community, Jesuit Dallas is a national leader at the secondary level in a number of different areas. In addition to a full academic curriculum, the School fosters an expansive and distinguished list of co-curricular and extracurricular activities, including the largest community service and social justice program in Texas, nationally-competitive robotics, debate, and stage & film programs, and one of the premier athletic programs in the state.

 

SUMMARY

Advancement Services Gift Processor for Jesuit Dallas is responsible for receiving, recording and legally receipting charitable contributions to the School in accordance with donor intent, Jesuit Dallas policy, and IRS rules and regulations. The work involves complex gift entry, which requires a significant attention to detail. A high degree of judgment is involved in establishing accuracy of information and correct coding and integration of incoming data. Excellent computer skills and understanding of relational databases is preferred.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Collect daily pledges/donations/event registrations, analyze gifts to determine appropriate campaigns, appeals, funds and packages for each pledge/gift/registration, and accurately complete gift batch entry process.
  • Prepare daily remote bank deposit.
  • Prepare acknowledgment/receipt letters and honor/memorial notices in a timely manner after pledge/gift receipt, distribute letters to gift officers for signatures and mail letters upon completion.
  • Prepare and mail past due notices and pledge reminders in the last week of each month.
  • Ensure that matching gifts from donor employers are solicited and received.
  • Manage all donor inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Contact donors to set up recurring billing and for collection of past due receivables.
  • Set up and maintain event module in database and ensure accuracy of registrant lists.
  • Prepare weekly gift reports for Advancement staff.
  • Run cleaning queries on the database regularly and perform other database projects as assigned.
  • Add new constituent records and update existing records as needed, analyze information received and populate data fields where information is available.
  • Serve as a member of the Advancement Team providing assistance in Advancement activities.
  • Provide administrative support to the Advancement staff.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong computer and software skills including relational databases. Expert in MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred but not required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, spelling, editing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as establish and maintain effective relationships with other staff, faculty, students, alumni, volunteers, and donors.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Works in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
  • Works at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
  • Generally works in standard office conditions and climate, with occasional scheduled outdoor events.
  • Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • High school diploma required; College degree preferred
  • Work schedule: 25-40 hours across 3-5 days per week - Full time and part time applicants will be considered
  • Benefits offered with full-time employment. Compensation to commensurate with education and experience.
  • No travel requirements.
