The Audio and Visual Technician supports the school by providing comprehensive services for events in support of the academic, athletic, administrative, and advancement components of the school.  The Audio and Visual Technician is responsible for the installation, usage, and maintenance of audio, visual, and other presentation systems and hardware owned and operated by Jesuit Dallas.

Essential Functions

• Provide technical support for events and coordinate with relevant departments.
• Train the users of A/V systems and operate the systems during events as needed.
• Provide leadership in the areas of customer service and client management by creating and implementing procedures for coordinating and evaluating technical support during events.
• Create and maintain documentation for the audio/visual equipment on campus.
• Support the projectors and interactive touchscreen boards located in classrooms and conference rooms.
• Supplement and provide tier 1 technical support for issues submitted through the school's helpdesk.
• Other duties as assigned by the Chief Technology Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two or more years experience working with audio/visual technology in a school or events setting.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
• Daily and weekly schedule dependent upon the school's calendar of events and facility needs; the position works a non-standard, variable schedule.
• Works in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
• May work at a desk or computer for extended periods of time.
