Description
The Social Studies Department focuses on advancing the mission of the school by using relevant content to develop student skills in reasoning, inquiry and communication. Applicants must be prepared to work on collaborative teams and participate in ongoing personal and departmental curricular and pedagogical improvement. Experience teaching social studies at the high school level is preferred, as well as flexibility in teaching multiple disciplines (e.g. US History, World History, Government, etc.). A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a related humanities discipline is also preferred as well as AP experience and training. This position begins in the 2017-18 school year.
